Making History In Woman’s Apparel | Marina Rinaldi

For years society has shunned the idea of a woman with curves being termed or viewed as beautiful. Counting calories, watching your weight and hating your natural features has always seemed normal for women all over the world. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is perfectly okay to watch your figure, work out and eat right. But I also think that it is very much okay for you as a woman to love your body just the way it is. Nothing is wrong with you, something is wrong with society.

As we celebrate women this month, let us learn to appreciate and celebrate real women with real bodies.

Marina Rinaldi is an Italian designer who is doing just that through her fashion label. Her brand represents a turning point in the history of women’s apparel. The fashion house offers a wide range of clothing and accessories for the curvy woman.

Nothing says “Women Empowerment” more than creating a space or a brand that includes each and every woman. Fashion hasn’t always been so forgiving of the plus size woman neither has it been inclusive. Marina Rinaldi is one of the few fashion brands that are dedicated to showing the world that fashion is one size fits all. Moreover, curvy women can look equally as stylish as their slimmer counter parts.

Marina Rinaldi is a member of the Italian Max Mara fashion group and a ready-to-wear all plus size label. It has more than 300 stores worldwide. This includes high-end streets in major cities such as Madison Avenue in New York city, Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills and Old Bond street in London.

The brand was founded in 1980 and before Marina there was no fashion group with an interest in creating fashion for curvaceous women.

Here is a look at some collections from the brand
