When you think local fashion bloggers a ton of names come to mind. That list will never miss Silvia Njoki. She is one of the first Kenyan fashion bloggers and one who has managed to keep her space and her work relevant to date. Silvia started her blog back in 2013, her content was inspired by her daughter’s closet. Being a new mom at the time, she was having fun dressing up her little princess and decided to give moms out there a few tips here and there.
Being a stylist herself, she begun to document her own personal style.
From then on, she focused on building her own brand as a fashion writer, blogger and influencer. She is currently sharing her fashion and travels with the world. I can’t help but always feel inspired by how far she has come.
Since then her personal style has aged like fine wine, her social media content has experienced a major transformation and her travels around the globe have become more regular.
She was recently in Milan as an influencer at the “Bata Fashion Weekend”. Last year she walked the red carpet at “Cannes Film festival” in a royal blue gown and some Maasai beads around her neck for that Kenyan pride.
When she was part of a global campaign by “Christian Dior”, I knew her brand was officially being appreciated on an international platform.
Silvia’s sense of style is sophisticated with a hint of subtle drama.
She is not too bold or risqué. However, her choices are stylish, flattering and trendy. She plays around with different makeup and hair looks and always delivers statement looks at events.
She lives by the beach and this has a huge impact on the trends she chooses to follow.
Silvia is one of the few local bloggers that have stayed true to their following in terms of consistency and content creation. She works with amazing brands to come up with giveaways and discounts for her fans and followers. In addition, she occasionally documents her travels on her YouTube channel as well. This gives her viewers a closer look into what her career and life are all about.
Fashion and beauty is more than just fun and work for her, it is more of a lifestyle. Silvia Njoki is definitely putting Kenya on the global fashion map.
