Fall Halloween Fever

Seasons have always had an effect on fashion and beauty, the warm weather welcomes less sleeves and more structure while cold weather brings extra layers and fuzzy glory. When it comes to beauty, bold looks are in right now in fall and flirty looks are left back in summer. Some regions in the world don’t necessarily experience a variety of seasons but that doesn’t stop fashion and beauty from declaring a revolution when it comes to seasonal trends.

Halloween and fall represent one another; the colors of choice should attract warmth, darkness and all sorts of calm and excitement. Just because you don’t see any signs of fall when you look out your window or feel extra creepy when you leave the house, doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in any other vibe the season has to offer! Let’s talk beauty because after all, make up to women is war paint and this season could be your “winter is coming”. You need to be ready.

Lip Colours

Your selection is wide when it comes to this particular fall season. Red is key! And lucky for you, the beauty industry has a wide range for you to choose from. Burgundy is deep dark and oh so juicy, simply perfect for that ultimate Halloween vibe. Black if you are feeling edgy and super confident enough to wear such a bold and unusual shade. Purple is warm, royal and it would be advisable to go with darker tones of purple. It is the month of October after all so it would be a must for you to prioritize the colour pink in honour of “Breast Cancer Awareness”.

Summer is all about the glossy flossy, however as we get towards December matte texture when it comes to lip shades would be more suitable and much more on point. Drink lots of water and use a good lip balm, got to keep those lips moisturized and extra hydrated. Chapped lips and matte lips is never a good look.

Eye Shadow

The eyes are the windows to your soul so during this season, feel free to let the world know how you are feeling through the colour of your shadow. Let the eyes do all the talking. Go for a mixture of shimmer and matte palettes.

Smokey is the look to go for. When I say smokey, I am not just referring to black shadow; with so many techniques in the world of beauty I have learned that you can use more than one colour of eye shadow to create the perfect transition and smokey eye look.

Eye Lashes

For this fall season the bigger the lashes, the wispy the lashes, the fuller the lashes the better! It’s all about a dramatic yet mysterious look all season. Get some lash extensions from a credible beautician or get some easy to wear false lashes from your regular beauty store. A trick for those nights out this season, stack your lashes in two stacks per eye lid. To avoid any heaviness get a light lash extension. Stacking can give you the wispy and full effect all at the same time.

Remember when it comes to flawless make up it is always about balance and blending. When you go for a bold lip colour always go for a soft shade on the lids. If your lids have drama, then ease up on the lip colour. This kind of balance gives your face room for extra glow as you play around with bronzer, blush and highlight. Everything in equal measure and limited portions darling!!

Make watching tutorials a priority when trying to perfect your skills, better yet take a beginners or a master class. The key to achieving good make up is to know exactly what you are doing. It is like art, self-expression and hence skill is very important.

Halloween is all about letting your alter ego come out to play for a day or a whole month if you are feeling the freak frenzy. You can get creative and take your beauty looks to a whole other level. But if you are in a region that doesn’t celebrate the festivities, keep it simple with an extra dose of fierce if you like.

Have some fun and let your masterpiece of a face do all the talking this season.
