Power Colors You can Rock This Women’s Month

Color can be used in a similar fashion as body language to communicate certain ideas. Science has found that every color creates an impression that triggers both a mental and emotional reaction. Companies often consider this when choosing their color scheme, opting for those that communicate an idea or feeling in line with their brand. Below are a few power colors. You’ll find out the impressions they create, as well as how you can incorporate these power colors into your look to feel even more empowered this women’s month.

Red

The most obvious first choice, red. It is the most emotionally intense color. Studies have found that looking at a red object stimulates heavier breathing and a faster heart rate, hence its strong affiliation with love. Aside from its romantic connotations, red is also one of the boldest colors and it signifies confidence and power. For your next boardroom meeting, or if you are looking to add an extra oomph to your look, opt for a bold red lip. You can tone down everything else, such as your outfit and the rest of your makeup. This will allow the red lip to be the focal point of your ensemble. To exude the ultimate boss babe vibe, pair the red lip with a black outfit.

Purple

This color is a lot less intense than red, but just as effective at creating impressions. As you have probably heard before, purple is often associated with royalty, but it is also associated with wealth and luxury. A lot of luxury brands often include a dash of purple in their logos to create this impression. It just communicates power in a more refined form. You can incorporate this into your look with either purple eye shadow if attending something informal such as a wedding, for an office setting purple nails will set the tone (pun intended) without being overpowering.

Green

Green is probably the least considered when thinking of power colors. This is because we often view power as aggressive and green is not, green is life and growth. There are various aspects that contribute to being a good leader, balance being one of them. This is what green symbolizes. This color calls for the least adjustment from our eyes when looking at it, which creates an impression of rest and essentially safety. Green would be an ideal color to don when entering a situation that involves negotiation; you can add green to your look with some subtle accessories.

Blue

Mostly associated with intelligence, blue also signifies trust, serenity, coolness and calm. This is often the impression you get when looking at the ocean. Blue’s communication of trust is also why many banks opt for the blue color schemes on their logos. Wear blue when heading into a situation where trust is required as well as intelligence; such as when you are pitching an idea. A subtle blue eye shadow can be worn and as always, if it is too overpowering blue nails will get the job done.

Women who are not afraid to rock those bold colours are the kind of women who are daring and take risks..these women work tirelessly to achieve their goals and do not let a lil bit of failure make them give up..now if that’s not girl power then i do not know what is…
