Estée Lauder Foundation #DoubleWearOrNothing Challenge - Lysa Magazine Foundation for all skin tones double wear foundation

The Estée Lauder #DoubleWearOrNothing Challenge

Choosing the right foundation can be tricky. Especially now, when there is a whole range of makeup products all catering to different individual makeup needs. I believe that getting the perfect foundation is key to nailing your makeup look. Granted this can be as difficult as finding the perfect fitting bra. The secret lies not only in finding your perfect match, but also in looking out for one that is suitable for your skin type. Among the things that you should look out for when buying a foundation is how well it holds up. You want a long-lasting foundation that will not melt off your face by 2 pm.

If you are into high-end Makeup products, then I am pretty sure you own a bottle of Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

Or at the very list, it should be on your wish list as a must-have product. A quick look at the product description and you will understand why this foundation has such positive reviews. It is described as:

  • A flawless, natural-looking foundation with a matte finish.
  • Light-weight and comfortable.
  • 24 hour staying power-making it super long wearing.
  • Oil-free, waterproof and transfer resistant.
  • Medium to build-able full coverage-able to cover up imperfections.

It is also non-Comedogenic and claims to last in hot and humid weather making it suitable choice for those living in the tropics.

Two months ago, Estée Lauder announced the expansion of its bestselling Double Wear foundation from 42 to 56 shades in order to make the foundation available to a variety of skin tones. The company also enlisted Misty Copeland to front the campaign.

This in turn brought about the hashtag #doublewearchallenge that has seen women worldwide put the foundation claims to the test.

Here is a look at the foundation put to the test by some of my favorite Influencers and what they had to say about the ‘double wear’ claims.

There is nothing I love more than a natural face for my everyday life…now I can run around with full coverage, minus that overwhelming feeling of your foundation wearing you.”-Zoe Msutwana
