Adapting a new healthy lifestyle can be a challenge, and often times we find ourselves regressing back to our old routines that leave us exhausted, drained and struggling to keep up with the ever growing concrete jungle. Starting small is always key, and with these five simple hacks you will find your lifestyle improving significantly.

Waking up early is probably one of the oldest healthy lifestyle hacks. Not only does it set the tone for your entire day, but it allows you more time for work. Studies have shown that waking up early, after a good night’s sleep, make you more energetic to accomplish tasks at a faster pace. If you are not a morning person, setting a realistic wake up time is essential, and reduces your stress levels.

Adapting to both a morning and evening routine is one healthy lifestyle hack that will give you more time to yourself and keep you on track. Without routine equates to chaos. This leads to things becoming a stressful and jumbled mess. A solid morning routine allows for a healthy physical and mental well-being, which in turn improves your overall productivity.

Evening routines are often neglected. The exhaustion of a long day, rowdiness of a full house, and the chores that need to be handled make us side-step evening routines. Contrary to popular belief, an evening routine are an essential part of our lives. It allows you to go to bed with a clear mind, boost creative thinking, and improve sleep. All these transition into a smooth and productive morning. A healthy routine will translate to your body, with time your internal body clock will adapt to your set routine.

Busy and chaotic schedules do not often allow time for a good read. We often find ourselves opting to guided books rather than some of our favorite fictional novels. One of the ways of incorporating reading material into a healthy lifestyle without the need to finish the novel, is by reading a set number of pages. Reading five to ten pages a day has proven to be a great source of mental stimulation, keeping the brain strong and healthy. In addition to increasing knowledge, reading improves analytical skills and contributes to memory improvement.
